Exhibition Print Quality
'Giclee' is a superior way of printing, which has embraced the digital era. Literally translated from French it means a spray or a spurt of liquid; in this instance an exhibition quality fine art print created with a professional inkjet printer, laying down millions of tiny pigment droplets onto an archival fibre based paper.
Although a traditionalist by initially capturing my images with medium format film, I use a hybrid method to get to the resulting end print, whereby instead of the old darkroom days, I now use the lightroom. I take each individual frame of film and create a high resolution scan, which is then cleaned and sharpened and finally printed.
The combination of a high resolution scan of the original film, coupled with the beauty of pigment inks on acid free art paper, produces a rich and vibrant piece of artwork that is archival for more than a lifetime. Every print is carefully produced for each individual order. All prints are tissue wrapped, bound in stiffened board, bubble wrapped and shipped recorded delivery to guarantee you receive your print as perfect it was out of the printer.
Proof Print
I offer the option (below) of a Proof Print from my gallery section, which allows you to view a smaller version before investing in the full size image.The quality is exactly the same as a larger image, just smaller, and without the authentic signature & studio stamp on the reverse. This will not only give you the confidence to buy my work, but confirm the beauty of the process I mentioned previously. The £10.00 is then refunded by cheque (not inc p+p) with the purchase of a larger print. By offering this I feel it overcomes the stigma associated with cheap looking photographic prints and assures you of owning a true fine art print.

With exception of the artist proof, all prints are authenticated on the reverse with my signature & studio stamp, which also contains print title & date.
